Tried a search without much luck. How many of you guys carry a fullsize M&P? I'm lookin at either the 9 or the 40. It looks and feels like concealing it not be a big issue with a good holster but would like to know what you guys say. Sizewise to me, it seems like its right between a glock 19 and 17 I am stuck between this or another Ruger SR9c. Its too bad S&W doesn't make a 17 rd mag with the sleeve for the compact model

I carried one for quite a while in a Comp Tac Infidel. Full size carry works just fine with a slight cant to hide the butt of the gun. I will soon be going back to the fullsize with a mounted light in an Armordillo Concealment holster from time to time.

At present I carry a compact and just carry the fullsize mags as spares. I always upload an extra round from my rear spare mag before heading out so I'm at 12+1 in the compact.

I carry a M&P 45c at the moment, but I'm looking for a good holster. I also heard good things about the Comp tac, think I might have to check it out myself. I am thinking about carry my wife's m&p 9c and getting her the shield. I don't notice it near as much as the 45, but could be my cheap holster :disappoin

The compact is nice but I want something bigger. I'm on the fence about becoming a reserve officer for the local PD and having the fullsize would serve 2-fold for me. My biggest concern is that i'm kinda short. I'm only 5'7 and about 175lb. I have a hard time concealing anything haha.

BTW, welcome to OSA brand0n. Don't let the general discussion guys scare ya off when they give you a hard time!

How did you like the Comp Tac holster? I have read good things about them, but never heard any real life experience.

It was alright. It wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world but we're not really talking socks or gloves, either. It carried well and there wasn't a lot of shifting; it was always where I left it. For a holster, that's about what I'm looking for. For an all-around IWB holster, it was worth the money.

I carries a M&P 9 yesterday out and about in a Comp-Tac Minotaur MTAC holster. Pretty comfortable (for IWB) and concealed well with a loose button-down shirt over it.

M&P 9c would be better for CC but I don't have one of those!

Full Size M&P is exactly like another poster said, between a full size and compact Glock. The compact M&P's are actually more like sub-compact Glocks. The true full size M&P's are the Pro models. I would think that if you could conceal a G19, you could conceal a M&P Standard Size.

Kind of OT but does anyone know, do the M&P and M&P Pro models take the same mags?
