I was sure that I wasn't getting a bad deal, but I only knew about the 629 ahead of time so that's the only model I really checked prices for. . .I honestly don't feel right about getting such a good deal under these circumstances. She at least deserves to be told what the gun is really worth and offered the extra cash to make things fair for us both, so I'm going to do what I can to make things right. I don't know that she'll even care, she was just really glad that it was going to someone who knew her husband, but I plan on taking several hundred bucks with me and sincerely trying to leave with as little of it as possible. . .

She's also responsible for a ton of reloading supplies that I got for free (she gave all the reloading stuff she had to my dad, who gave a lot of it to me). I ended up with 550 .44 mag brass, 600+ .44 mag bullets, 1500+ .38 brass, 900 .38 bullets, and smaller quantities of a bunch of other calibers. . .the plastic tub with the bullets weighs a solid 75lbs by itself. She never wanted any money for that stuff and I don't think she even knows I ended up with any of it, but at the very least I have a hell of a lot to thank her for.
