This was an oversight in the law that will likely be corrected this next legislative session. My opinion. But he could get an SDA license, he is exempt from the background check and the training. Should come back from OSBI in no time.

Nah ... neither of us are really interested in open carrying. We just prefer to remain under the radar ...

We find the whole thing quite entertaining ...

Hmm GC can CC but cant OC and BB can CC and OC.

Yuuuuuuuup!! :lmfao:

He has to have a CCL to open carry but he doesn't have to have a CCL to conceal carry because he has "permission" because of his badge. I guess if we wanted to pony up and pay for a CCL for him, he could take the class and apply and get one ... LOL What a hoot!! GC has to take a CCL class to open carry ... haha!
I think that his CLEET training will take the place of the CCL class.

Well, as I found out early on in my legal career, there is absolutely nothing that states that the law has to make sense... and in fact it rarely does. :)

Being that Oklahoma has full reciprocity, the easiest way to get a permit for him would be to get a Maine non-resident permit. They are a lot cheaper than OK's (only $60), and you can satisfy their "training" requirement by taking an online gun safety course that takes all of 20 minutes. There is no fingerprint requirement or anything. You just need a passport-style photo like you can get at Wallgreen's. You can send everything by mail, and they are a lot quicker at issuing the license than OK is too. The only downsides are that it isn't good in as many other states, and it doesn't count for compliance with the Federal Gun Free School Zones Act. But at least in Oklahoma it would put GC on equal legal footing with his wife!

No kidding ... and HEY!! I thought we were friends! :lmfao:

I am confused. What happens if he prints? Currently? And post november? This is pretty funny, retarded but funny. Slap him on the shoulder once for me.

I guess nothing unless somebody calls the law on him. The class was about post-November so he's screwed if he wants to OC ... LOL Now mind you this is a man who I dated for 6 months before I realized that he was ALWAYS carrying a gun on him. And I got pretty frisky a time or two in that 6 months -- he's a smooth operator, that JBT! :naughty:

I'll slap him twice, once for you and once for me!! :)

cant trust jack boots to open carry no how

You have no idea just how true this statement is until you've actually lived with the NWO ... :naughty:

:lmfao: Ahhhhh, 'tis true! I gotta say there is some measure of comfort when I go to 7-11 that my man can carry no matter what the sign says ... 7-11's have some strange customers ... Not the least of which is ME! :lmfao:

I thought in Oklahoma, you could carry no matter what the sign said anyway
