For those of you who haven't already heard the news, I regret to inform you that long-time Glock Talk member Mark Reimer (Okie) has passed away. He died Monday, July 8, 2013, while he was preparing to undergo a medical procedure. At the time of his passing, Mark was 54 years old. In fact, his birthday was July 8th.
Mark joined Glock Talk on October 28, 2001. In his time here, he became GT's most prolific poster, logging more than 129,000 posts. This number, impressive as it is, is not accurate though. There was a period of about four years where Okie's post count number was plateaued at around 65,000, because a limitation of an earlier version of the software did not allow for a number larger than that. His actual number of posts is probably closer to 185,000.
In his time on Glock Talk, Mark touched a lot of lives and made many, many friends. This fact is made apparent by the outpouring of emotion in the threads that will be linked to below. There are few better measures of a man than the number of people he leaves behind, who remember him fondly. Rest in peace, Mark. Your presence will be missed.

He had a couple episodes of passing out and went the doc and found out he had a brain tumor.whlie being prepped for a biopsy a blood clot in his leg broke lose and stopped his heart.he was a kind man
damn, that sucks. Condolences to the family. Weird he went out on the same date he came into this world.
I remember him from Glocktalk. We actually had a glocktalk get together at Rons in Sand Springs. Nice guy and well liked by many. RIP

Even stranger his mother also died at 54 from a brain tumor although the tumor wasn't the actual cause of death in marks case .
