Update an Iphone??

Just left AT&T, They said I need to find someone who has Itunes on their home computer to plug my phone into so I can get updates?? I can't get my emails to open and he said that will fix it, He also laughed and said I was 7-8 updates behind? Can anybody hook me up with updates? I'll pay !!

Just go download the iTunes yourself, make sure you back up all of your data first IT WILL GET LOST!
And if your phone is not UNLOCK, Do it first.( 3. 3S or 4/s ?)

You don't understand how technologically challenged I am!!!! I just figured out the calculator about 6 weeks ago !!

BTW, when was the last time you forced all the apps closed and re-booted the phone? That could help.

Make sure you set iTunes not to automatically sync with devices.



The problem with someone else doing it for you is it's going to try to sync with their iTunes installation and wipe your stuff out. Install iTunes. You could also update it by connecting via wifi and updating that way. If you really need a hand give me a shout.

As for forcing apps closed and rebooting it, it's not an android, and it ain't windows. Mine has been up since mid March until I flew to vegas and had to turn it off for the flight.

He can do it via WiFi depending on which version of iOS is on his phone. Cant recall the exact version, but prior to 4.x whatever, update via wifi was not an option.

This is one reason I don't own an Apple product. When my Nexus 4 has an update, it pops up on the notification bar, I click it, it tells me it wants to update the version of Android I'm running. I say OK, 5 minutes later I'm updated, no settings lost, no information to restore, no apps gone, it's just done.
