Gun Safe Recommendations?

My dad is wanting to buy a gun safe that holds around 10 long guns and costs less than 700 dollars. Anybody have any recommendations.

get 3 times the safe you need, if space allows . you can always put other valuables if your(his) collection doesn't continue to grow .

what will jump start your collecting ? buying a safe thats what . lol

I saw some bitchin' safes at Attwoods this weekend. Far beyond the dinky "safes" they used to stock. Reasonable pricing too. I've got my eye on the Cannon 48 gun big boy for $799... What a cavernous addition it will be.

you need at minimum a safe that holds 20-24 guns to comfortably store 10 long guns.

This. I've got a 20 or 24 gun safe, and those ratings are using single shot .410s I think. I've got about 12 in mine, and it's crammed full.

Unless you have to fit it into a small area, buy a bigger safe then what you think you need. Its amazing what you will put in one after you have it.
