I'm dating a former SG now. I absolutely love hot girls with good inkwork. So, so, so hot. Although I have found as I have gotten to know her better... her ink is less and less noticeable. I barely even notice it anymore. I see her, but the ink isn't even there most of the time. And she's got a fair amount... more than me.

I understand the perceptions people have with those of us who are "inked up". I get a lot of comments about my ink at work - almost daily. Most of the comments I get are favorable, although I am sure those with unfavorable opinions won't be sharing them with me. I am sure it will limit my job opportunities in the future, but the bottom line is, I am always self-employable, so it's not a big deal to me.

I just tend to look at people with tats and think to myself "What were they thinking?". To me this whole tat thing isn't about individual expression or any of that stuff. It's all about copying catting what they see other people doing. Same with goatees, sunglasses on top of the head, backwards caps and baggy jeans. I got em, my wife has em, she's looking for something she likes for a chest piece. I have a very good friend covered in ink and he's a great person. My take on tattoo's they mean something to me, the tattoo's my wife has mean something to her and neither one of us give a **** what anyone else thinks of our ink.

Your tattoo neither adds nor detracts from your beauty. It's a part of you that's all.

I doubt that people that tattoo themselves really care what the rest of us think about it.

Hmmm.... I'll have to think about that. I have a couple that are safe to post, but don't show any of her ink, really. Actually, I don't think I'll post them. I might put some up in a Photobucket gallery tho (passworded, of course). Nothing really riskee, though. That stuff is just for me.

Agreed. I guess if you've got a goatee or a beard, you're just trying to be cool and fit in, or if you shave that crap off, you're just trying to fit in, too. Cut your hair? Conformist. Shave your head? D'bag. Grow it out? Hippie wannabe....

Bad times happen to everyone, tattooed or not. I'm not defending the people using the cards. I don't know their story. Neither do you. I'm glad you cling to bigotry. I'm really glad. I am. I don't. Sorry.
