Did you know Hobby Lobby has a man-cave decorating section now? Old Route 66 gas-station signs, fishing/hunting/Military/Police/Fire memorabilia, etc.

All stores should have a miscellaneous guy-stuff section in it.

My wife loves the store and I like the man cave stuff they sale. They almost always have sales going on too. Plus they stood up to the fascist DC regime and that always gets bonus points in my book. Stay strong Hobby Lobby!

GC liked it more when they had a lot more of the train set and model car stuff ... I remember the store they had on NW 10th Street ... One whole side of the store was FULL of "guy stuff". GC was sad when they closed that store ... :( Now he cringes when I tell him I wanna go there because he knows it means one of two things ... Christmas stuff is on sale ... or fabric is on sale ... Either way, it's gonna cost him! :D

I have a different opinion, but I may be biased because of my perception that there practices that precluded me from ever being anything other than a peon since I did not attend church with the managers family back when I worked for them. Closing the chain would not be because of some great moral stand rather it would just be fiscally more expedient for Green. One of the driving factors of my denial of God's existence for so many of my adult years was based on the hypocrisy I saw while working for Hobby Lobby. Due to my educational circumstances I had no choice but to go military when a non-grad slot opened, I was berated and belittled when I said that my slot had come open and I would only be there another 3 days, that was all the warning I had received. Though I didn't join the navy I never worked for them again, nor will I ever work for them again.

Just my frightfully biased .02

Ha! I shoot my own animals to put on the wall! Oh and I can put my smokey smelling turn out gear and fire helmet in there too!

Probably not closing as they have been on a new store opening binge the last couple of years. I am on the new store/remodels every week and from what I heard when they used to do the remodels with an house construction management team, I was told they try to find a location as close to another national "Hobby" chain store as possible. I wouldn't be surprised if the competitors to HL put out this info.

You are not the only person I know of to have had a less than Christian experience working for Hobby Lobby. All I can say is that is not unusual for closely-held family businesses ...

Man that sucks! I always run away to the models and guy stuff when my wife turns her back on me in the girly stuff, lol. Unfortunately she corrals me at the register.
