I gotta say, last year's game was a tough one. We beat their ass all the way until the last g**damned play.


Pretty funny about a decade ago I was a pull for both teams until they played each other kind of guy. Then I got to be friends with a real OU fan that cheered when OSU players got hurt, etc. Sum ***** turned me.

Sounds like the OSU fans that threatened to kick my 9 year old ass in Stillwater at a bedlam game because I was wearing an OU jersey. There are scum bags in every fan base but I will say that the scumbags in Oklahoma are nowhere near as bad as the ones in SEC states.

I think it has to do with the bandwagon nature of many OU fans. That somehow OSU fans are more "pure" fans because we cheer our team on despite the bad times we have had. I've never been one to use that one, being as I did not attend OSU either. Damn sure regret it though when I go to games. Missed out on a helluva lot of good times.

It still makes no sense. If you want to know who bandwagon OU fans are just ask them to name 5 players from the 90's teams.

Definitely jackasses for every team but I think it may be the sheer volume of OU fans in this state makes the number of a$$holes per acre greater than poke fans. Just a theory.

No doubt about the SEC. I remember when they rolled into the old GIA in '89 ranked no.1 and lost. I was 11 and was with my dad, uncle and little brother who was six at the time. We thought we were gonna die! We couldn't get out of there fast enough! It was awesome! Lol. I swore I'd never be back but I finally went back for bedlam in '09. They lost again.

What's sad is how parents teach their kids to do that stuff. I've gone to OU games my whole life, a lot of them growing up were in the crap 90's years and even then there were idiots. When we started winning the bandwagon fans came out of the wood work and ramped up the a hole membership and if I were to ever act like them and their kids my dad would of made no bones about setting me straight.

I'm the same way. Win or lose I will root for my teams. Almost all the teams I root for sucked major a$$ growing up and have only in the last 10 years or so become relevant again.

On barry though are you talking about Sanders? If so I always thought Thurman was the better and more rounded football player. Hell you have to be doing something right to make Barry ride the pine.

Honestly, I think it has to do with those that never stepped foot on their respective team's campus for academic reasons are usually the most obnoxious and irrational by my experiences.

OSU definitely has their share of the bandwagon now because they are winning, got all sorts of OSU fans popping up around me. Claiming they've been fans for "years." Granted none of them know jack about the program or school.... but they know they hate OU. Bless their hearts.

I met barry wheni was 13. I asked for his autograph. He told me he wouldnt sign anything for me. Total self absorbed ass. I met thurman thomas at a basketball game at gia a few months later. Signed my wristband and then asked hart kee tosign it too. I still have it.
