Leave old mower by the curb. . . . Gone by the end of the day.

The mower I was given in 04 when I got married died last year. Well I could have revived it but that would have required replacing or rebuilding the motor. The piston rings were toast.

I pushed it to the side of the house where it sat until this weekend. Saturday I rolled it to the end of the drive way and just left it on the sidewalk. Just as expected someone came along and picked it up.

It's good to know I can get rid of stuff that someone else might need by just putting it out on the curb. I'll keep that in mind if my wife ever pisses me off to that point.

That's a good idea. I "inherited" a push mower that my renters left behind. It runs but is taking up space in my shop. I think I'll make it disappear this weekend.

Yeah, sometimes it happens when you don't want it to. Learned that the hard way. Had a load of junk in a wheel barrow at the curb to load into the trash can. Some dick came by and took the wheelbarrow.

That can be a problem. Funny thing is I had a nice mountain bike I couldn't ride anymore that sat on the side of my house for several years. It was to small for me and I couldn't bring myself to sell it. I kept thinking someone would come and take it. Never happened.

My buddy had a bed frame, and night stand he wanted to get rid of. The trash people wouldn't pick it up, so he put an ad on Craigs list, free, at the curb. Within 15 minutes it was gone.

My buddy put his 61" Mitsubishi DLP TV out and it was gone overnight. There was so much snow on the screen, you would have though you were watching an episode of Buying Alaska.

Watch out! There is a lady 2 houses down from me that put an electric organ out on the curb for the Salvation Army to pick up back at the first of October. Now that the snow is melting guess what's still out there?

Ya, but don't you live in Alaska? I picture you living out in the bush. so a lady 2 doors down puts a big hole in my theory....

Speaking of 2 doors down..my old neighborhood....Ppl put everything but the kitchen sink out and it would sit for months...eyesore.
