i come on here and anything everyone wants to talk about gets locked down. i understand someone owns it and all, but i keep seein reasons to NOT associate over here when what i say or would like to discuss gets nuked...

The problem that comes in is people's fingers get the best of them, they can't act civilly and have a discussion on a wide range of subjects. Everyone has their opinion about everything and when opinions clash problems come up. Some people are worse than others not to mention those trolls who are here only to stick a branch in the wasps nest and see what they can get stirred up.
Rather than to let those things happen the subject gets shut down.
I have seen other forums that did not have good moderation in practice and threats of harm are made against other people and illegal discussions happen freely. I don't think that is what the majority of people here want to participate in.
Very few threads get locked around here, and I'm not sure that any of them get deleted. If a thread gets locked you can even start a new thread on the same subject.

I agree. The only threads I see get Locked down Are the ones that start off highly inappropriate or ones that have went on for 27 pages and it gets to the point where it is beat to death and people are just bitching at each other. There are only a couple of taboo subjects. Everything else is G2G
Nobody knows for sure. We're making that stuff up as we go along.
Somehow, it's okay to criticize the ATF and Homeland Security, but not local law enforcement.
