I'm very conflicted about the middle-east right now. I currently feel that there's no need to get involved.

Is ISIS targeting those there were assisting us as we were attempting to 'convert' Iraq?

Just grab all of our people and as much of "our" hardware as possible. Then park it on the Jordanian border. Then set, watch and wait for them to tire of killing each other and cross "their" border in any direction. Then level the entire country. No boots needed...

When I was younger I had noble ideas of doing our part for our world. Then I witnessed the ugliness of war and decided we need to mind our business. I held to that idea since I got out of Military in '93.

Im leaning more toward a grand war if this nonsense is to ever be stopped. Russia, China, India, England, France and the US needs to either come together and fix this or we need to pick sides and get it on.

The only true way "it comes here" is if we let it come here. Camels and donkeys don't fly or swim great distances, and flying carpets are a thing of fantasy, so any "jihadist" that ends up in the United States was likely allowed to come in. Stop ALL immigration from middle eastern countries - "friendly" or not, and put major military forces along our borders, and that should help reduce the chances of "it" materializing here significantly.
