Saw this elsewhere and I thought this would be a good place to have this discussion. So is everyone good with open carry if Muslims start open carrying? I mean if its good for one it must be good for all right? Im not a racist but would you be comfortable seeing a group of them out and about "excercising" their rights? Just curious how all of you feel. Personally there is NOTHING that would make me want to open carry when I'm not in uniform.

I don't see a problem with it.

If someone (anyone) was planning on shooting up a place they aren't going to go out and buy a $100 belt and $100 holster (just throwing out numbers) to OC a handgun and "show of" before they start things. Someone planning something nasty is going to hide it.

I wasn't aware that Muslims don't open carry. With open carry being legal in most of this country, I'm sure there are some who do. Certainly there are plenty of Muslims in the police and military who open carry as part of their job. And then there is the issue that you generally can't tell what religion somebody is just by looking at him, though I suppose you can sometimes tell traditional Muslim women by the way they dress. But hey, if I saw a gal in a head scarf with a pistol on her belt, I'd say more power to her. This is a total non-issue for me.

"Im not a racist" - That sentence is almost always followed by words that are questionable at best.
