The landowner may be kin to the dwellers but she better understand that she is liable for damage especially if you have records showing she was informed of the problem. Sounds like you are doing an excellent job of creating a paper trail which will pay dividends if the situation were to escalate with the dogs or neighbors for that matter.

Yes, the paper trail is growing. It was made clear to me at the Sheriff's office that I stand on very firm legal ground. The iPhone camera is always set to "on" whenever I go outside. My headphones are always around my neck in case all else fails and I use my Alaskan.

Back in my youth I was on a Boxing Team up into my 20's. We were jogging one day with the Coach of the team. Out ran a Rottweiler going full bent on us, Coach pulled out a 357 snubbie and dropped the dog. Long story short, nothing could become of it, the law states that you have the right to protect yourself, family and your livestock. No questions asked.

Bonner you better use them hog legs you show off on here, before you or your family gets hurt bad.

There's no reason for BS like this....

Given his posts on here, Junior is good people and I understand the CYA aspect of this issue.

It's OK, Thunder. CHenry has a reason to feel this way; when he was 5 a dog ripped his face nearly off. He feels like I will be in part responsible if these dogs attack someone's child. I, on the other hand feel like the Sheriff's office knows full well what is going on and they, too, have a responsibility toward the public safety.

Smart move involving law enforcement as much as possible. Now that you've done so don't hesitate to kill the dogs if they charge you on Your property. I like dogs but once they become very aggressive sometimes they just need to die.
