Pedestal Oil is the company that wanted to drill next to lake Hefner last year but later backed out on and cancelled after opposition to drilling next to the city water supply became vocal.

^%^$#@#%& earthquake...............woke me up this morning. Why can't they happen at around 9:00-10:00am? At that time I'm at WORK and AWAKE, not home and trying to sleep in on a vacation day!!!!
Exactly!

My 1-year-old had been having a tough time staying awake last night, but was doing well when the earthquake hit. She woke, my wife and I woke up.. I think only my 4-year-old slept through it.

I'm not an oil man. Does that mean no disposal at that well?

Yes. Enhanced recovery wells are sometimes called water flood. They inject water into one well to push oil to another well that's close by. It's done on old wells as way to get the last bit of recoverable oil out of them before they are plugged permanently and abandoned. They've been doing it for years and years, my dad tried to invest in some of these back in the '80s. Like I said these are normally real shallow, a disposal well is generally very deep.

You totally missed all the wells the OCC ordered shut didn't you? Also this will be the last straw that sends Sandridge to bankruptcy court. Mark that down. So who's side are they on again?

Why are they shutting down wells and reducing injection volumes?
Has nothing to do with the quakes you say.

Hobbes they've been choking injection activity down for almost 2 years. We've only heard of it lately because they've really ramped that up this year. And anyone that doesn't have their head buried in the sand can see that the earthquakes have increased in spite of this. There almost seems to be a correlation that the more restrictions they impose the more earthquakes we get. 'Splain that one...
