I quit going to H&H a long time ago. There were 1 or 2 good employees but the general attitude was that if you asked anyone for help it was an annoyance and an inconvenience. The range needs a major overhaul and there was never a range officer on the range. Add their high prices into the equation, and I couldn't find any reason to ever go back again.

They are unquestionably the big dog in OK, to some.

That's the way I feel about the place also. Still haven't made it to Big Boys range yet.

IMO, one "aww ****" moment can do much more harm to a business than a hundred "atta boys" can do to help it. My daughter told me she doesn't want to go back to H&H now because Larry embarrassed her in front of her co-workers and friends. Guess we'll go down to Big Boys in Mustang later on this afternoon to go shopping.

IMHO H&H does have serious issues with their customer relations. I used to try to stop by there every time I was in OKC. A couple of times I had occasion to ask questions about specific details on guns or accessories at the back counter and was not impressed, even given wrong information on one occasion and when trying to explain the difference was treated like a complete newb. More often than not when I went to the front counter I was ignored while employees chatted with each other, or with obvious acquaintances over the counter. The most recent time I was there I left my merchandise on the counter and haven't been back.

I have never had a problem with H&H other than the gunsmith counter occasionally seemingly ignoring me but the sales guys have all been fine. I have always been courteous with the folks there and not wasted there time looking at every gun they have and telling BS stories, they have been the same with me. Also, the 4U Cafe is excellent.

I went there not too long ago and was treated poorly as well. And the comment about he guys just standing around taking to each other was happening when I was there. When I asked for help the man if that's what you want to call him, looked pissed because I asked for help. Won't be going back. I usually go to SSP anyway. Now that is a place with great customer service. Every time I go to the south side store they treat me like I am part of the bunch. And they have great prices. Like I said in the other thread, SSP really needs to open a store in Shawnee. It would be a goldmine.
