Do yall buy or sell on gunbroker?
I almost always buy locally...but a buddy of mine buys almost exclusively from gunbroker.

For those of you who sell on there...do you use the checkout function? If not, why so? Seems having to wait for emails to go back and forth really slows down the process, especially on something like accessories.

I like the idea but havent really had much of a use for it. I've probably made 3 purchases from there, none of which are firearms.

I've bought several on GB and have always been pleased. Great place to locate hard to find collectors items or classic guns like S&W revolvers without the Hillary hole.

I guess the system to me seems antiquated.
I win an item, I have to contact the seller to request a total.
I have to wait on him to provide the total, and where/how to submit payment.
I know not all are like that, but of the few items I've won on there it was a not automated at all.

Some of the dealers I have bought from have an online payment option, through GB, that accepts credit cards. After that, it's one call to my FFL with information on what I bought and I am done. Buying from an individual is more cumbersome. For what it's worth I found some good deals on the penny auctions.

Thats the redeeming factor...I just won an item for about half of what it would cost elsewhere...so it gives me motivation to deal with the hassle. I need it here by the end of the month though so waiting for a week to get an answer kinda kills it for me.

A few years back I was going to sign up for an account and they required drivers license number and other personal info I wasn't willing to give them.

I've bought some guns and sold a few accessories there. I don't think the checkout function was even an option the last time I sold anything. I had only one bad experience. I won the auction for a rifle, only to find out that the guy had previously sold the rifle and failed to close the auction. Real ********* to deal with.

most of the time you don't need to contact the seller except to say the money is on the way.
when I was selling on there it was amazing how many people can't read and understand the information.
most dealers have a set shipping fee and you just add that to your final bid and send payment.
you would not believe the numbers of people asking me for a shipping total when the listing said the item was $14 plus FREE shipping.
