No sympathy for the family.. they need to get over it.
If my son or daughter dressed out and hooded up and broke into a residence and got shot and killed in the process then too bad for their dumb ass.
Yea I brought them in the world..I tried my best to give them education and skills if they messed it up with drugs it is on them.

Hope they learn something..if they become a thief and get killed OH well.

Kids will do what they please even if you raise them perfectly.
My dad died of cancer..I did not cry. He kind of had some of that coming. Almost a good riddance deal.
He had his good times.

My Uncle died of cancer ..I cried like having your dog die..Horrible.
So I am not all black hearted..Some people need eliminated that is just fact.
Maybe this story will make the next teen think twice about the life path he or she chooses.

Every "dope" that dies in the commission of a crime has family. They don't get a pass for putting the blame on the crime victim. Maybe, just maybe, if they had been better family their loved one might not have been in the situation that got him capped.

Those thugs came in ready for battle, and battle is what they got.

She may be in mourning. Or she may just be craving media attention. Either way she is irrelevant, it was a lawful shoot under Oklahomas Stand Your Ground Act.
No. It's a lawful shoot under the "castle doctrine" portion of the OK law regulating the use of deadly force. SYG and Castle are two wholly different things. See Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, specifically 21-1289.25 E

Let me tell you dopes something. Until you've lost a loved one during the commission of a crime, you'll never understand the emotions experienced by the family of the deceased. I know it's not easy for the shooter or his family, but at least they're still alive.

Take it easy on the families.
I get it Jeff, and I absolutely sympathize with the families. They have lost someone, and that is real pain as well.

But just as we wouldn't want the shooter on social media making any bold statements about the shooting, the same goes for the family. I realize that a certain amount of class is needed, and in most cases the "family" might not have right level of class to put it into perspective.

All she really needed to say was that they were dealing with a terrible loss for the family, no attack on the shooter, the shoot, or the type of firearm used was necessary. But the people that have the ability to do that are few, most just let their hurt spill out.

Don't get me wrong. I have little if any sympathy for dead, but I've been where the families of the dead are and it's a tough situation. I declined to be interviewed and chose to let everyone involved go on about their lives in peace. I didn't need to forgive the shooter, because had I been in his shoes, I would have pulled the trigger too.

Sometimes we just have to forgive people for statements they make while grieving.

I had a friend of mine shoot and kill an armed subject during a stolen vehicle contact. The shooting was extremely righteous and without question justified. Later I had the mother of the deceased come into my shop and ask for a donation for her son's funeral expenses. I was extremely polite and told her I hope I never have to experience what you are going through but your son tried and failed to kill one of my closest friends. He placed my buddy in a postion of split second life and death response by his poor life choices. So with all due respect ma'am I do not feel it is appropriate to donate anything. She was calm and thanked me but I got the feeling donations were not going well in the local business community.

So, those that don't share your opinion are "dopes" that just don't understand??

Here is what I understand......I understand that some criminals were raised poorly, maybe even taught to be criminals.....others were raised well and simply chose the wrong path despite their upbringing......I also understand the grief of losing a loved one. What I don't understand are friends and relatives who attempt to excuse the criminals actions while telling themselves and others that the dead criminal didn't deserve to die for their actions, that whoever killed them should have acted differently.

I also don't understand the stupidity of saying "at least they are still alive"!

Yes, the shooter is still alive.......and he will replay this over and over, he will question whether he did the right thing and he will deal with the aftereffects for the rest of his life......all because some scumbag decided to commit a crime.

If I was a family member of the scumbags that got killed, I'd be angry at them and ashamed for what they did and I'd be apologizing for said scumbags actions, even though I had nothing to do with it.

But hey, I'm just a "dope" that doesn't understand

My parents spent a lot of time teaching us scumbags how to burglarize homes, it just didn't take with me.
