That was my addition - looks like formatting didn't take.
Got it - and that would work also. No need to punch out the primer - just fire the primed casing in the gun and then re-seat the bullet.
don't dummy rounds have a spring like feature to protect the firing pin? they are fairly cheap, buy a few. Otherwise, I would pull the bullet and dump powder and rechamber the round and fire the primer.
If you make your own dummy rounds put some calk in the primer hole or a eraser
