That is my problem with "God" and all this "free will" **** -- the inevitable bleed over onto others. If we ARE created in some God's likeness I'm about as impressed with him as I am most people. And yes, I'm standing right next to the rowboat to Hell, with one foot in it.

And I really wasn't trying to turn this into a religious discussion, so let me apologize for making a statement that I know those folks with more faith and conviction than me might find troublesome. My only excuse is I'm just tired of people, in general. I need to go find something else to do while I'm waiting on this bone stimulator to get done. It's just kinda awkward to move around it.

I didn't see many videos that zeroed in on more than just the general direction of the hotel. Vegas PD body cam footage and radio recordings show that they knew it was coming from Mandalay Bay pretty quickly.

Just to point out a fallacy , God’s will is not done on earth ....a lot of people say everything that happens is according to God’s will.........and this is not the case and it’s pretty easy to prove to me anyway. I mean nobody needs to pray for something to be done ......if it’s ALWAYS done ...... see the Lord’s Prayer

Yep. There is always an angle. I've come to the conclusion God is the most brilliant lawyer out there. Sigh.

ETA: Not to mention I didn't say a word about God's will being done here. I was talking about "men being made in God's likeness" and the "free will" he so kindly bestowed on man, both ideas which are used by God to take credit for the kindness of man, and absolve himself of any ill man inflicts on others. A pretty brilliant belief system. Works out GREAT for God. Not so great for the innocents that bear the burden of others acts of free will.

I'm not sure how you mean that but I see God's will, his law if you will, that we love Him and love our neighbor as ourselves, done every day all around. Unfortunately, just as in the first fall I also daily witness people who act out of spite, hate, malice, or unconcerned neglect toward their neighbor and, I presume, God. Mankind's story is a tale of tears and suffering punctuated by ordinary and heroic acts of love and self-sacrifice that give me at least the hope to carry on.

While we're dipping our big toe into the spiritual realm and putting blame on religious deities for earthly events, I've always wondered why God gets the blame for all "bad" things instead of Satan?

Inversely, when something really good happens, like a child is found who was lost in the woods, why does the distraught Grandmother never shout, "oh, thank you Satan".

Oh, that's not God's fault, either. Free will and all. Satan made his choice and now he pays the price. So he takes his angst out on man and causes all this evil in the world. God just sits back and enjoys the show.

Ok, this is my last comment on this subject. I apologize to the mods for getting this thread off track, so anybody else who quotes me, I'm not ignoring you, just trying to not derail the thread any further than I already have.
