My sons deer from Wednesday night barely had any tarsal gland color. The top of his head had stiff hair but it wasn't gooey. He didn't smell at all.
Saw two does on the power line right of way behind the house spook today. A few minutes later, a buck, nose down followed the path they were on.

I know a guy who hunted in KS in September in a dog house pop up, and it was so hot he stripped down to his underwear while in the blind. He called a friend of my brothers to let him know where he was and asked him to come looking for him if he didn’t hear back from at an appointed time. Nothing bad happened, but it’s a true story.
I've been down to some embarrassing moments in the blind during hot weather early in bow season. I need to paint that box blind white instead of black. The heat inside gets pretty intense as well as add some insulation.
