Now, I know I've been around long enough for some of yall to remember my "ultimate 1911" build.

And then, several years later, yall witnessed the birth of my "ultimate Glock" build, which is still my main comp gun.

Today, I welcome to the family, my "ultimate snubnose" build.

Smith & Wesson 442-2 Performance Center two tone special edition (no lock).
Ditched the awful boot grips, and custom ordered some Altamont rosewood laminate grips with medallions.
Everything on the gun that was factory stainless was sent for TiN coating. The trigger has a high polished face, and the cylinder has high polished flutes, both from the factory. Everything else was factory high polished.
I completely disassembled the wheelgun and sent everything stainless to Titanium Gun in Lakeside California.
What you are about to see, is the result of several months of part-time work.
Yes, it is extremely oily, but it is still unfired, and I wanted it rather wet for the break-in dry firing period.

That's a well thought out build. Are you pleased with Titanium Gun in Lakeside? I hadn't heard of them prior to your posting. How was the cost and turnaround?

I've been seriously considering NP3 from Robar for some time now.

After seeing their portfolios on Instagram and FB, I was convinced. I actually contacted S3F (the Glock barrel) and they recommended me to Titanium. I'd say the turn around was ridiculously short. Well under a month including shipping both ways. I'd have to see when I paid for the shipping label to get an exact time frame
