Another dope thread, ad nauseam; ad infinitum..
Along with the usual suspects, of course.
People who defend their addictions (and, alcohol is addictive, but those are two separate issues. M'kay?) deliberately ignore what we've learned in this last decade. "What might that be?" you ask?
Four simple words: Denver, Durango, Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles and San Fransicko. Well, that's nine words, but you get the point. Their massive tent cities, "homelessness" (aka, bums and addicts) have one thing in common, viz. they're drawn together by narcotics. And those cities are the epicenters of states that legalized recreational marijuana. That's the future of Oklahoma but, hey! As long as you get your fix, it's all good.
But, go ahead and rationalize and justify and smoking that crap.
Because at some point the feds are going to merge the pot cards with the 4470 rolls and, when DC does so, they will come knocking.
Smoking cigarettes is bad, but smoking dope is good? Sounds like the rationale of a degenerate addict.
I don't really disagree with you but I'm sure there are alot of people sitting in jail right now that were convinced the police couldn't prove anything.Common sense my man. How can they prove you had knowledge of the buyer's illicit activities? Unless they can prove you had knowledge of the fact that the buyer uses marijuana how can they convict you of selling a firearm to an individual who was not legally allowed to have one?
The legal answer is clear. If they have a MMJ Card and you know about it, it is illegal for them to own firearms or ammunition. Federal laws aren’t kidding around. Transfer a weapon to a pot head in a private sale, and you know said individual is a dope smoker, welp, that’s a violation on your part as well as the doper’s. We don’t have to agree or like it, and many think alcohol is a worse thing than pot, but booze is legal and pot isn’t; so say the Feds. Best plan is to not smoke dope and talk about it, not smoke dope and have weapons and ammo ( and talk about it) and maybe to decide which you’d rather have; guns and ammo or marijuana.
Now, some of the members here use drugs much more powerful than marijuana. Opioid pain relievers, for example. But opioids are legal, according to the feds, if prescribed, and may make you see snakes with funny hats and have bad dreams about fat bald headed clowns with lots of teeth but you can still own weaponry. But puff a joint (and chill out as I understand) which (so I hear), mellows you out, (I’ve been told) and you’re a hardened criminal bound for the federal pen.

The only real social impact it has is the fact so many people end up in prison for possession or sales.
