You can get rechargeable CR-123's.
Tru dat. Since then, I've just never trusted rechargeable batts. The ugly truth of it is when they go dead, they're dead. Unless you carry some spare batts with you, it could turn out bad.

Surefire is only good for draining batteries quickly.
Streamlight and Fenix are far superior in brightness, battery life, and price.
Ditto on my Fenix 35. I took my Surefire to their booth at Wannamaker and found the 35 was the most comparable to it. I flicked it on while looking at the 35. I said that wasn't as bright as the Surefire. He flicked the side button and POW the light was as bright then POW the light was frikken blinding. My Surefire is a backup now.Fenix 32/35 PD/UE line is relatively inexpensive, tough and has served daily duty in my pocket for nearing a decade. It runs on 18650 rechargeable, daily use will see a battery last up to a month before it needs swapped out with a freshly charged one. I run orbtronic units in mine that are 3k + mAh. The initial investment will be just a little north of a C note but it will be an investment that will pay for itself.View attachment 174561
