lets talk about what if.
My home is on a well, 3/10 mile from the home.
We aren't there currently, but will be there shortly.
Is it better to leave a trickle on with a septic system or shut the well off and bleed off the pressure so if it freezes there is no ambient water pressure?

I'm way late, and you probably already have your answer, but leave the water running. A small trickle won't hurt your septic. If you've got a well, you've likely got a well house. Put a heat source in the well house. Normally a 100W bulb is enough. With this kinda cold, I'd up my heat game a little if possible.

I've got a well and septic and I've been trickling water for 28 years during really cold weather. Never an issue.

We hit Wally World yesterday morning around 9:00 and neckbearded some grub and a couple more spray cans of de-icer......didn't see any empty shelves then but that was yesterday morning so there's no telling how they look today.

If the forecast proves to be correct it looks like no matter where you live you'll probably end up getting more snow than you want.

Mama just put me a big pot of beans on the stove.......Gawd I Love That Woman !
