Great place for a steak

Some of my family will be in OKC Tuesday oct 26, and I am asking on their behalf.

What is the best steak place there?

Pretty sure they will be staying in the area by the airport.

They might be out to the Norman / Moore area also!

I'm sure some on here will know great steak places in OKC, but in the Norman area, the best steak I've had is at Red Rock Canyon Grill on I-35. I'll venture to say it's the best steak I've had, but I also don't visit the really high end steak houses because I like to be able to pay my bills. :-)

Sorry, I don't have any suggestions. I rarely have steak at a restaurant.

There's a Charleston's on Meridian just north of the airport, and they do steak (and other premium entrees) well.

Would NOT recommend Cattleman's. Tourist trap.

Having went to Mahogany for our 25th anniversary - my suggestion is Costco for some of the angus prime filets, couple bottles of Cabernet and grill at home!! Just irks me to no end when paying that much for something I can cook as good or better at home. We've had good steaks at Longhorn even though a chain.

Last time went to Charleston's on Meridian was let down. Just average and it had been one of our "go to" spots for consistency.

Cattleman’s is good if you wave a crappy breakfast steak and eggs with some mediocre restaurant coffee. I feel it really fills a good spot doing that. But don’t go expecting a good steak.

@ OP I dunno what kinda budget you’re on. If you want a really nice steak, more on the fine dining side, go to red prime steakhouse. If you want something pretty good, but affordable in a more family setting, go to hollies flat iron grill in Moore.

This is actually a good recommendation for someone coming out of town. Del Rancho is so uniquely OKC that you probably can't find a lot of clones in other states. I just wish they'd stop using Miracle Whip and go with real mayo instead.

I think they are looking for something along the lines of a t-bone, porterhouse, new york strip, ribeye......
