I curious about the 2003 you will be replacing? Are you keeping, selling, or trading?
The durability target for the F-150 is 250,000mi. That includes all powertrain combos. The 5.0 is built to be a 250k engine, according to Ford
The V6 is not a durable, if working hard.
You right. I misread his original post.Yeah, it's a 5.0. That's the only V8 available in the F-150 since 2015. The 4.6 and 5.4 haven't been available in the F-150 since the 2010 MY.
Well you see, the answer to this question starts with another question how good are you at replacing cam phasers ?I'm thinking of upgrading from my 2003 150 Super Crew toa newer one. I have foud 2, 2018's that are practically identical in millage (one has 3K less miles) and same asking price. Difference is one has a V-6 the other a V-8. Please tell me which would be the "better" deal and why.
I should ad that both are 4WD, as is my 03, and this is more of a vanity upgrade as my '03 runs fine and I drive less than 50 miles per week.
Thanks
