It’s about time I restocked pellets for the smoker. I usually buy quite a few bags at a time. Where do y’all get yours and is there someplace online I can order and get delivery.

I use the smoker pellets from Atwoods. Timber Jack? Not sure if the brand name. I did research them before I first bought and they were rated/ reviewed as one of the better brands.

Edit: Lumber Jack is the brand.

He has a heater adapted to burn smoker pellets. Don't know who made it. Our rural electric is expensive and not very reliable and propane is ridiculous. He swears it is cheaper than what it was costing before using propane.
I understand the expensive propane and electric. I assumed the pellets for heating stoves were cheaper than the pellets for smoking food because of woods used etc.

Sam's Club has their brand of 40lb bags for $15. They don't add as much flavor as the Pitboss or Traeger brand but aren't nearly as expensive. I put them on the same level as Kingsford wood pellets.

I usually just grab the 40lb Pitboss Competition blend bag from Lowes for like $16. Maybe it's 30lb. Cant remember.

Interesting timing on this thread. So, had my inlaws down for dinner. Put on an 8# chub of bologna, bunch of chicken thighs and hot links on my traeger. Had about 1/3 of pellet hopper left. Thought I'd be good. Well, about 7pm the hopper emptys and out of pellets. Had to get the 16 mile round trip to walmart for their pellets and finally ate about 8:30. The smoked bologna was fantastic but what a cluster ****.
