Agreed 100%. I’ve been getting PM’s about it. If it’s not a direct call out ‘let’s meet in such and such parking lot to settle this’ or your a straight up ‘effing arsehole’ then we can’t protect people from their feelings. We also get reports from people that think a comment to or about another member is offensive. I’ll reject those every time unless it comes directly from the member it was aimed at.
yeah like many times i will "quote" a post but it's not at all about the poster who posted it, moreso just like "hey i read that and i'm skipping like the next five pages and responding to this comment so i'm going to include it so hopefully my post makes more sense".
but many a times i will realize when the person i quoted responds with a "wtf" they don't necessarily get i'm just like making a comment. not in any way ABOUT them or even directed TO them. i dunno, i see forums and the net as a wide audience, like multiple pov's kind of thing. some people take things VERY personally online.
