When I was a kid I carried a rag for a handkerchief. Now that I have years on me, I carry a store bought handkerchief. I remember going to school a a child and the snot rag was wet in my back pocket. I guess I had either a bad cold or the flu if the flu was invented then.

Does anyone still carry a cloth hanky to blow their nose in?

Absolutely! I own at least 2 dozen.
I give them away at funerals, on planes, in church, in restaurant lines. I also use one occasionally. Of course I don’t offer them to others . Funerals I carry 3-4.
My grandson now does it at his school in Olathe Ks. He even gave one to a teacher and an Asst principal.
My grandfather did it too. People appreciate this small. Kind jester. It spreads good will

Too unsanitary for me. I just use paper towels (roll in the truck) or tissues.

.....haven't you heard? This is the new "trend" for the LGBTQ* crowd so that they don't leave anyone out, especially so if like was mentioned before, that one gives them away at funerals.
