Snacks,,,,,you can never have too many snacks.
I keep forgetting to pull that can of smoked kippers out of my back door. I figure I’ll keep forgetting until something bad happens and they leak this summer in the heat. Then I’ll regret keeping fancy snacks in the truck.

I’d say beyond what we all who like to be prepared regularly keep in the car a good pair of boots, a good map and don’t forget declination in our area is 3.76°E. Not much when you’re hiking a few miles but over a 500 mile hike you could end up in Durant instead of say Hugo. Lastly I’d keep a wad of cash to buy my way out of trouble.

A puppy to keep you company lol
Definitely got that covered. I travel with at least two, but if I ever had to walk very far, I’d probably have to put the geriatric lab down. He’s still pretty lively, but I’m pretty sure he’s got cancer along with his doggy dementia. It would be hard on both of us if I had to corral him on a hike.

I keep pretty much everything in my truck at all times whether I’m traveling 5 miles or 500 miles. I don’t do a lot of long distance traveling, but I have got stuck in the mud many many times. Plenty of tools in my toolbox, tow strap, chain, come along, blanket, gloves, case of water, granola bars, first aid kit, map, knife or knives, ammo, and at least one firearm. The firearms don’t stay in my truck, but I do keep extra ammo in it.

These are not the firearms you're looking for.

Since most of the territory you'd be going through is OSA territory, you might want to get to actually know some of the members that would be along the way. Could be very helpful in certain situations, if you can imagine what I mean.
