we are still digging out from this kind of storm and it's been 6 days since it fell. We've still got 2-3 inches of ice under the snow that did fall. The sun comes out enough to melt the top layer, but freezing temps keep it from thawing and causes it to refreeze at night.
it's been a nightmare for many for sure. Luckily we happened to have stocked up ahead of time enough for the extended time being iced in.

Well, my surgery is in the morning, so I will definitely be going in for that. The wife can spend the night in the hospital, if necessary, but I hope that it doesn't do enough to be an issue and she can go home and get a good night's sleep on our Most Excellent Select Comfort bed.
