I have a Maverick. From what I understand, the only difference in the two is the receiver material.

I used to have one of those. Damn fine scatterguns. Nice and light and really gets the job done at an affordable price. Sometimes, I wish I still had it instead of my 590. Don't get me wrong, the 590 is an awesome shotgun, built like a tank and made to take a beating, especially if you use it a lot...which I really don't.

The Maverick is perfect...as long as you don't feed it a steady diet of Magnum loads.
