Tulsa, OK - Tulsa Police have released new details about a Brookside shooting.
It happened Friday night around 8:30 p.m. outside the Slo Ride bar near 41st and Peoria.
Police say the incident began when Christopher Conrad and Chester Shadwick began yelling at 48-year-old Daniel Kitchens. Kitchens was on a motorcycle and the other two men were in a truck behind him.
They began yelling derogatory statements at Kitchens and hassled him as they followed.
Kitchens continued on, with the truck still close behind, turning onto Peoria and stopping at the Slo Ride bar.
Conrad, 33, and Shadwick, 35, got out of the truck and followed Kitchens to the bar where the fight escalated.
After a few more minutes, police said, Kitchens shot Conrad once in the chest. He died at the scene.
Kitchens stayed at the scene and waited for officers to arrive. He was arrested for the shooting, but has since been released.
Records show Kitchens is licensed to carry a concealed handgun.
Chester Shadwick, however, was taken into custody on a public intoxication complaint.
Police are working to obtain video of the incident taken by security cameras at a business across the street. They will turn this case over to the Tulsa County district attorney for final ruling on whether Kitchens will face murder charges.

Man I had CDs in my car alot when I was in HS. That was right before MP3 players became so prevalent. What do they expect the guy to do, listen to cassette tapes???

This kinda stuff just makes me want to avoid bars altogether.
The altercation could have happened anywhere, the bar wasn't the issue. It is scary to me that the occupants of the truck chose to hassle a motorcycle rider....

Getting assaulted by two drunks would put me in fear of death or great bodily harm.
As for riding to a bar, I've been in bars many many times with out drinking, most of them also sell pop. If I'm carrying, I lock it in my hard lockable saddle bags and I don't drink. I seriously doubt that I'm the only "biker" that can carry responsibly and not drink and ride. Too assume that just because he was riding a Harley and stopped at a bar means he intended to enter the bar with a CCW then drink and then ride is asinine, narrow minded and a bit bigoted
