Actually it is, and your ability to get to your weapon quickly and have leverage on that weapon is the priority. Most people need to realize that people are generally attacked with little to no warning at very close ranges.
I wonder what Tom GivEns recommends?

I like IWB but always have one of these on. Actually faster than pocket carry for me.
