Once upon a time there was a distributed messaging system that was governed by two basic rules.

1) Thou shalt not be too annoying.
2) Thou shalt not be too easily annoyed.

Applied to the subject at hand, I believe there are some who are simply too easily upset. Beyond that there are some who appear to spend most of their days looking for something to get upset about. Because of that, a yes/no answer to the poll question though technically possible cannot be reflective of reality.

(edit) However, I still voted "yes" because if applied to myself I'd rather be upset than be silenced. (/edit)

Hell yes! The problem today is no one can stand up and tell it like it is or you will be punished even on OSA if the Mod don't agree it will be removed even though everyone agrees. You have no Freedom of speech any more!

There I said it. People like candy asses that bow down.

I'm tired of BEING forced to be PC .

Case in point, the expression "to call a spade a spade." For almost half a millennium, the phrase has served as a demand to "tell it like it is." It is only in the past century that the phrase began to acquire a negative, racial overtone.

Guys when I made that statement I was being sarcastic. I thought it would get a laugh.

I knew that. This wasnt an exercise in calling you out. Just another way to make the same point, since that thread was locked before it could be explained.

Dumbest poll ever, shame on you. I hope you go bald.

Just vote you heathen.

Exactly. Most of the time I choose to avoid being overtly offensive to others, if for no other reason than that's how I prefer to be treated myself. It's all about having a little respect for each other - if I want you to respect my rights and opinions, I need to be willing to respect yours as well, at least until you give me reason not to.

Your "freedom of speech" has never been infringed upon by OSA. Because you have no freedom of speech here. Freedom of speech protects you from the government. I'm guessing if the Westboro Baptist Church decided to set up shop on your front lawn to picket a soldier's funeral you would not have an issue with telling them to GTFO your property. That's not infringing on their FOS, it's you exercising your rights, which trump theirs.
