Had a good day Sat. Sold my XDM for the price I wanted, and found a Henry .357 magnum Big Boy for a reasonable price. My son scored some great looking damascus blades.

My son talked me out of a NIB Ruger SR-762 for a really good price (shouldn't have listened to him). Was kind of disappointed as I really didn't see much else I could live without, and some of the prices were asinine. Having said that, I'll be back in the morning, just to see if I missed anything.

I took a Remington 700 VTR that I thought I would sell so I could buy one of the CZ compact pistols. I talked to a guy who had a P-01 that I think is exactly what I'd like to get... but I told him if I sold my rifle I might give him a call. His price was pretty good, so I decided later I should go ahead and buy it, then could still sell the rifle later, but by the time I called him he had already sold it. Kinda wish I had taken a closer look when i first saw him.... now, I still have the rifle and will end up paying $150 more for the pistol, but it will be new.

I hesitated and lost. :cry11:

He who hesitates is lost, but always look before you leap :uhwhat:

I took a M1 Garand to sell - a “Gap Letter” International Harvester. The price was very good - in fact, lower than any other comparable IHC Garand I saw at the show. Several people asked to see it, and their answers were all the same:

“Dang, good price! Wish I had the money...”

Brought it home. But my gf and I had fun, and she admitted she was glad I still had the rifle. She likes it.

Well, it's $189 at Powder Valley, plus frt & hazmat. So, anywhere around $200 I'd call a deal.

I regularly see powder sellers. One in particular at the north side on the top floor seemed wanting to sell his stuff. He had a good supply the last 2 shows, and compared favorably to PV prices.
If Powder Valley is going to be at the show, you can pre-order from them with payment and they will bring to the show with no sales tax and no hazmat.

I attempted to day, my step son and I saw the line to get in and no parking and decided maybe tomorrow
Be there first thing in the morning (when the doors open). Sunday morning is always less hectic than Saturday morning. Also, in general the long line is for people who have guns to check at the door. The line for folks going in empty-handed is always shorter and moves much faster. Early Sunday morning is best because crowds are light and you can actually walk up and down the aisles more or less unimpeded. At $10, it is well worth the price of admission.
