Ah, that makes more sense. Yes, it does definitely read that way now, and more so, I just checked the SDA and it shows the same in the published version. I stand corrected, and should have checked the SDA as well as the link. That is very disappointing that exceptions keep getting carved out. I...
IANAL, but...
I believe the section referencing the Fairgrounds is under Subsection B, which states:
"B. For purposes of subsection A of this section, the prohibited place does not include and specifically excludes (emphasis mine)the following property:"
and then
"...Any property designated...
I have a Franklin rotary seperator but rarely use it. I find the pins bunch up in the cases and will stay there until given a couple good shakes upside down submerged in water. Plus you have to check each case anyway as the pins can get stuck in the primer hole. Then I dry the cases in a garment...
Thanks. I know I'll get one sooner or later! Once I get one I'll feel much better about long gaps before I get another, lol. Someday I will have a picture to post in the annual deer thread!
You'll love it. I haven't touched my vibratory cleaner since I got my tThumlers. I only wish there was an easier way to sort the brass from the pins, even with the rotary sorter, the pins still get stuck in the cases and I flush each one individually. But it's a very small price to pay!
Had a great time down there. Didn't get a deer though. Saw a bunch of does (8) the day after antlerless ended. I found some huge bedding areas, but just wasn't experienced enough to know how to take advantage of that I guess. The camping was great, I will definitely be going back.
Another year with no deer... already waiting for next year (doubt I'll make it out for Holiday Anterless). Unlike the prior years at least there was nothing from this year that could make the blooper real. I did see 8 does, a few very large ones, but was down in Three Rivers WMA and antlerless...
I think I found a hunting partner. So, hopefully the trip is on. Which leads me to a follow-up question:
Has anyone camped here when hunting? Did you have any issues? Or does anyone foresee any issues?
Thanks guys. I will pour over the maps and try and pick a place, too busy with school and work to make it down there to scout (I know, bad form). I've heard some reports of heavy meth activity in those areas, any truth to that? My hope is a friend of mine will be going with me, but he's still...
Anyone rifle hunt Three Rivers/Honobia WMA with any success? I am again (for the 3rd year running), going to try my hand out getting out deer hunting. Last year was the first year I really got to try, and never saw a thing, it was rather discouraging. From looking at the maps, Three...
Long story short, I am back to being a broke(ish) student to finish a degree I have always wanted. Anyway, I find myself with a little "extra" money and I want to reward myself. I have about enough to get a gun I really want (P30L) OR to add night-sights to a couple I already have, get threaded...
My girlfriend just bought a shield after months of holding every gun known to man. She doesn't like small guns, she says she doesn't feel like she has a good grip on them. Before the shield, she was debating a 1911 and the HK P30. She loves the feel of the shield though. I have to say, I am...
I was looking for a place to camp/fish as well and found Blue River in Tishomingo, but I didn't get a chance to go last year. A friend of mine did though on my recommendation and liked it. The river is stocked with trout. There are designated camping areas, but they vary from with showers, to...
I'm not a huge fan of Crown, but if I'm drinking it, it is generally with Coke or just as a shot. They had a maple flavored crown out for a while that was actually not bad to taste, I must admit. Generally I prefer Scotch, or Bourbon if my budget doesn't like Scotch, on the rocks.
On a less argumentative note, I think we can all agree that headlines like this are a welcome sight after the past few days: "Hundreds demonstrate peacefully in embattled Ferguson, Mo."
