That's what my mags do when they're dirty, like after going through 1000 rounds or so.

All you have to do is take them apart and clean them with nitro solvent. There are instructions online if you run a search.

If your mags are new and this is happening to you, you may have defective mags. I've never heard of this happening, though... the factory 10 rounders are generally the most reliable mags available.

I have a couple of 10/22s that are Appleseed Liberty Training Rifles (AKA loaners), so they see a lot of use. I have to clean my mags after every 2 or 3 events they are used at (our round count is usually around 400 for a weekend marksmanship clinic).
