The belted H&H case is the "parent." Most American belted cartridges are cut-down, blown-out derivatives of the basic H&H magnum; i.e., .338 Winchester, .264 Winchester, .300 Winchester, 7mm Weatherby, .300 Weatherby, etc.Just the belt of a belted cartridge, 7mm mag was the parent cartridge.
Maybe you just see things backwards.I hope your confidence isnt misguided...whoever built that rifle put the bolt handle on the wrong side!

Not true. "Lawl."....but they started with an already shortened 7mm mag when developing the 350RM. Consider the .375HH a grandparent cartridge lol.
