Has anybody out there loaded 9mm with IMR 800X?
I found some load data for a 124gr lead bullet and gave it a shot today. 4.5 grains. I gotta say, coming out of a 9mm 5 inch 1911 it was awesome. The data shows it will make ipsc minor and what a soft load. I did load it with magnum primers as that was all I had, it also proved to be more accurate than I am. Just curious, I haven't really heard anybody talking about it.

data from hodgdon powder co. list 4.5 start at 1015ft/s & 5.0 as max. at 1051ft/s -- big BUT -- do not use a mag. primer, listed info. used small pistol not magnum primers. you can run into pressure problems when you use magnum primers when not reducing powder change when small pistol primers are called for.
