One can make a strong argument,,,
That the Model 15 is the finest .38 Special ever made.

I too came to love the gun while in the Air Force,,,
I carried an old worn out specimen as a document courier.

When I got back into shooting around 2005,,,
A pristine Combat Masterpiece was my first purchase.

A Model 18 soon followed me home as well.

When I get old and decrepit,,,
I'll start handing off my guns to close friends.

My Model 15 and 18 will be the two I'll take to my grave.

I gotta agree with Olyeller. I'd keep that one like it is. The model isn't exactly rare, but in that condition they certainly are pretty rare. And they will just keep getting rarer and rarer as time goes by. I have the same exact gun but it's been carried a decent bit and I have no box, papers or tools. Same gun, but not really the same. They are great guns but there are too many shooters out there to let one drop out of that particular pool IMO.
