Anti walk pins for a shotgun

I have an 1187 that is a general purpose shotty.
Are anti walk pins needed or necessary?
One of the pins isnt flush but i havent lost it yet. The pins are $10 for cheap insurance that my fire. Ontrol group wont fall out but im curious.

I've never needed them on a shotgun, but for $10 if it makes you feel better, go for it.

I don't buy accessories for my guns unless they help out or improve the firearm in some way...if you have never had your pins walk then I would ask why you need anti walk pins? Why solve problems that don't exist?
