Anybody out there willing to give some advice on hunting Fort Gibson. I will be bowhunting only. Is it crowded? Best time to hunt it?? Ealy nov. Late Nov. etc...... I dont want your hot spot locations just your advice. Thanks in advance.

ive bow hunted there for years... there is a lot of good place with little to sometime no pressure
i have other spots now so i dont mind giving up a few places... i dont know what areas u have in mind but if u want pm me and i can give my number and i can tell a lot more then i want to type

I'd like to hunt that little Sequoyah State Park area - too bad you cannot (except for getting drawn for a controlled hunt). There's a bazillion deer in there. Plus it's pretty.

Yes, I believe its a youth hunt and there are MONSTERS in there. I used to hunt across the highway from there and killed a 130 class with a smokepole

I'm coming out to Wagoner in April to try to catch a spoonbill. THought I might try to find a turkey while I am there. Can you tell me anything about turkey hunting possibilities at Ft. Gibson WMA or other nearby areas.
