Anyone shoot a Marlin XL7?

I am thinking pretty serious about buying one in 30.06, and did not know if anyone has had any experience with them. This is awful cheap for a decent rifle, especially a 30.06. They are discontinued from this site, and are on closeout.

Hey gillman, the XL7 are made by Savage. I had new one in a 25/06 w/accu trigger, but gave it up to a youth hunters group before I could shoot it. Hope this helps.

We have one, in '06. Seems like a well made rifle. Marlin (who markets the XL7) is owned by Remington and made by Savage? Seems kind of odd.
