It is a regular glass etched reticle that appears black when the illumination is off. I leave it off most of the time, but the illumination really helps when shooting at a dark, shaded target and at dusk.

Got a 3.5-15x50 NXS Nightforce with the MOAR reticle and like it. Should be able to get to 1000 yards with it.
I was thinking about getting a 45 degree offsetmount for the iron sights, is there any other way to be able to use both, Ive looked at high rise mount rings .
They just seem like they would be too high to use the scope easily.
Or am I looking in the wrong direction? Im using magpul flip-ups for iron sights
