Have you looked at the Primary Arms optics? They have a 4-14 on sale right now that I was just looking at. In fact, all their optics are on sale, some a little and some a good bit. They aren’t the greatest, but they been good for me and many others.

I've heard nothing but great reviews on primary arms scopes myself, never seen one in person but they get lots of praise from people on the www.

Where would one get it at that price? I'm a Veteran and would certainly buy another to replace an older scope on another rifle at that price.

Checking on the Riton optics scopes. Seems like a descent scope and not overly priced.

I think Riton is probably at the upper end of the made scopes and some of the better ones are even made in Japan. I looked hard at them myself & only didn't because I wanted to get a scope made in either Europe or the United States this time.

Diamondback 6-24x50 or 5-25x56 venom are good scope for sub $500. I have both and no complaints.

I just checked and it says made in Japan and quality inspected in Arizona. Just checking all my options.

Don't know how big you want to go on your objective but this is a lot of scope for under $500.
