Are there any falconers in the group?

I’ve been reading the Joe Pickett book series. One of the characters is a master falconer. I would love a chance to watch hunting raptors in action. Anyone here practice falconry?

Would love to but not enough time to devote to the bird right now. It's high on the retirement list though. I have seen it done though, both for rabbits and ducks. Probably about 15y ago.

We have a kestrel hanging around our place, I'd never seen one before and didn't know what it was. Really pretty bird.
He was sitting on one of our blue bird houses with a mouse in his talons.

I dearly love to watch those birds in action. If you get into it, or find some falconers, let us know. I'd travel some to watch them. There is a lot involved, and it takes a lot of time.

Some of my friends do as well, they’re always willing to let interested parties, tagalong, and help beat the brush to scare up the rabbits.
