Psh. Im rolling with a tomahawk.
...add to that the fact that this shooter was NOT adjudicated as mentally defective. So the whole point of adding checks for adjudicated mental cases is moot in terms of preventing this shooters access to firearms.
You know whats really stupid about this all.......it doesnt matter how he got ahold of the gun, weather it was legally or illegally. When will politicians realize gun control laws only effect honest people, criminals are not slowed down or effected by gun laws. If someone bad wants a gun they will get one, one way or another. To impose even more gun laws on law-abiding citizens is a waste of government funding & everyones time.

Oddly, when I first heard this, I wondered why one of the many citizens didn't produce their own weapon and defend themselves. The only thing I can figure is that because the event involved government officials, carry was prohibited.

But they do get that! They're using this as a reason to regulate arms. They know it won't stop crime.
Government wants control and people that can defend themselves aren't the most docile.

They don't give a flying flip about crime and whether it will go up or go down. They don't give a flying flip about your ability to protect yourself from an armed thug. All they do care about is your ability to protect yourself from government. Period. After all, that's WHY the 2nd Amendment was even birthed!

LOL, got 2 daughters of my own. I love kids. I hate stupid politicians who think laws only honest people follow will help them stop criminals, its like they think criminals play by the rules.
