My simple body mechanics are used to, "draw...fire...shoot" without a bunch of safeties to snick off and without a long DA first shot, followed up by a short SA shot and without having to decock the damned thing when I'm done shooting.

I'm simple minded...I need a simple weapon. :preocc:

You're not talking about a 1911 here, are you?

Sorry guys. This was my 2nd try at the 1911. My first experience with the first one was some 18/19 years ago. That one was a heap.

The Smith & Wesson 1911s looked like good pistols to me. And they absolutely are.

They're just not for me. :disappoin

After cuttin' your teeth on a wheelgun and then totin a Glock for damn near 20 years, my hands just won't allow me to carry nuthin' else, I reckon. :ugh2:

Sometimes you just have to go with what you know.
